HAUL: Magnolia Makeup

Hey guys so I know I should stop hauling but honestly this was such a steal that I had to cross it off of my wishlist  Magnolia Makeup was having a sale for 50% off their pigments and glitters. So I got them each for d dollars. How awesome for these amazing pigments! Review to come of course. I got 3 specific colors because I loved one of the looks that Lauren A.K.A QueenOfBlending had posted on her facebook. The others I got just because I liked them and I do not regret getting any of them! I'll post swatches along with the review, BTW these colors are beyond gorgeous! Read on for the rest of the pictures :)

HAUL: Sephora Friends and Family 2011.

Sooo here is what I know people love to see, HAULS! This is my latest haul. It's my Sephora Friend and Family 2011 purchase. Review to come on these things, I have a long list of reviews to knock out. Since I had the discount I decided to splurge on some things I have been wanting. The MIA I must admit is indulgent and I have said before I wouldn't spend the money, but I decided to make the investment in my skin. I got the Tarte for True Blood palette because I saw Jacqueline's posts (1,2,3,4) on them and I had to get it to recreate her looks. Loving everything so far and I think I definitely got my money's worth. The philosophy purity cleanser was my 100 point bonus for being a beauty insider. It is freaking 12oz (valued at around $25)! How awesome is that? FREE! I really didn't need it, but I couldn't pass it up. Geesh I have enough cleanser to last me at least a year. I'll probably end up giving it to my sister or someone else who might need it. That's all my ramble for now, next the pictures. If you wanna see more images and info on the products, please keep reading after the jump.

TALK: Life Underestimated.

I'm so sorry I've been MIA guys, school is kicking my butt right now! I promise to be back in full force for winter break. I'll only be taking one class during that time, so I'll be able to bust out some posts. Then after that I'm not sure because I'm starting my law program and I have literally NO idea what to expect or what my schedule will be like. But then again nobody reads my blog anymore so I guess it doesn't matter :( *forever alone* Well anyways if anyone cares I'll be updating more often. I'm writing up draft posts as I type this. I'm gonna queue them up and maybe it can automatically post 1-2 a day. It might be news to my blog, but this year has been really rough on me. My family has faced 2 tragedies this year losing loved ones. I lost my baby niece earlier in the year, and then my baby cousin passed away last month. It's been tough trying to adjust with them gone, it's a day by day process. I've been doing things to keep me busy like going to school full time, and hanging out with my mom more. I would be completely lost without her, and I don't know what I would do if she wasn't here to help me get through the tough time. But I don't want to ruin your guys day with my sob story, so just know that your support on my blog means the world to me. Blogging really does make me happy, and it keeps my mind off of all the stressful things I deal with in my everyday life. Anyways look out for my posts that are pretty much reviews products that I've been using over the last couple of months. Have a wonderful day.

REVIEW: Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.

Hey guys so if you haven't heard about this product from Urban Decay....I just don't know how it's possible. This spray has had many rants and raves in the beauty community, and as always I'm here to contribute. This is something that to me I would consider a necessity in my makeup routine.

Talk: Beauty Acronyms and Phrases

Hey guys so this is gonna be a compilation post that I'm gonna be editing as I go when I acquire new acronyms and phrases. I've had questions/comments about shortened words I use in my posts that some people don't get. So this is gonna be a list with explanations to those words. If you've been in the beauty community for a while you probably know these already. But a lot of the newcomers are clueless to the popular lingo we beauty enthusiasts use. So this is the guide for the newbies who are eager to know more. If you guys know of any that are not on here feel free to let me know in the comments so that I can add them. Many thanks and I hope you can learn from this post and pass the knowledge on.

BEAUTY RECIPE: Ole Henriksen's Scandinavian Oatmeal Cleanser

Here's a video for you guys on one of my favorite beauty gurus, Ole Henriksen. I've never really mentioned him and his brand on my blog but have praised them on my twitter. I absolutely love this video for its simplicity. I have yet to try this recipe but I definitely will and let you guys know how it goes. I can't get enough of Ole Henriksen!

If you wanna know more about the video and the instructions and ingredients on how to make this cleanser then please keep on reading.

Haul: KleanColor Nail Lacquers and Randoms

I am coming to fall in love with KleanColor polishes. They are super affordable and amazing quality! I've been buying them from a user on eBay called 27kitten, check them out if you need a fixing for these polishes like I do! They retail for $3.49 and she sells them for $1.75, albeit the shipping is $2.50 for 1 so I make it worth my while and get a handful. When I was in Vegas I got a manicure before coming back to L.A. and I fell in love with a polish and it was in impulse buy but I shelled out $7 for it. Crazy right! This was the first I had ever heard of the brand so I didn't know their value until I got home. I was distraught so I went out to seek more, I usually go to eBay when I want something cheap and fast so I was satisfied with all my purchases. In total I have 15 of these polishes now and I just discovered them a little over a month ago. But KleanColor is my new favorite brand for all the tie in factors. Look for a review in the near future!

Read on for the rest of the haul!

REVIEW: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

So off the bat what I didn't like about this product is specifically the wonky color range. I'm normally an NC42-3 in MAC but for this concealer the NC43 was too dark. The next shade down is NC35, which is light but it oxidizes on me so it balances out. So this is the only case in which I won't mind it oxidizing. I can only use this concealer under my foundation, and when my skin is in good condition a.k.a no dry spots. I personally can't use this concealer under my eyes because I tend to be dry in that area. I actually really like the pigmentation but it doesn't work well on active blemishes, you would need to layer it and then it just gets cakey. One of the better aspects of this concealer is the price with the amount you get. You get half of a foundation basically and you do not need a lot of product to cover what you need.
