REVIEW: Make Up Forever HD Foundation

Get ready to enter the next chapter of my holy grail foundation journey. So this review is way way way past due! I've been using this foundation for almost 2 years now, not consistently but enough for this review. If you wanna know more about this product, please read on.

I bought this at IMATS when it first was getting popular in the beauty community scene. The shade range is nice for this foundation, and it should not be hard for you to find a shade. I got it at first in the shade 173 which was way too dark so then I switched to 153 and it matches me better. I have to start off with one con for this foundation, and that's that it oxidizes on me. After a couple of hours I look super tan and orange. Another issue I have with it is that it is not the best for oily skin, so I tend to only use it on my drier days like in the winter. It is very moisturizing so I prefer using it with a light moisturizer. I like that it is moisturizing because it doesn't make the texture of my skin look so rough like some of the more drier foundations. I can not agree with the long lasting claim because I feel as if it does not last on me for more than a couple of hours. It looks amazing though paired up with the HD powder. I do agree with the claim that it is medium to full coverage because it covered my skin very well with no concealer. If I am going out for a short amount of time, then I will opt for this foundation. But when I need something to last me more than 4 hours this just is not going to cut it for me.

The foundation itself is very runny so it feels more like a tinted moisturizer to me because it is very light.  Blending is a dream wit this foundation though because it just blends so perfectly into the skin because of its light texture. One thing I love about this foundation is that it feels like I have no makeup on which is something I look for in an Holy grail foundation. If you have already flawless skin and like that even more flawless look, I would definitely recommend this. This foundation looks great on Kim Kardashian, but not so much the average Joe with skin issues. In conclusion it is just not my favorite foundation but the only one in my collection that I like. I'm currently trying out another HD foundation so look out for the review on that in the future. Enjoy! :)
